Colour Friday: This Christmas Shop Small
The 28th November 2025 will be the day that millions of us in the UK start our Christmas shopping. Yet while Black Friday will be booming, over a million small businesses will be struggling… and I can’t imagine losing independent stores as they’re my favourite places to shop - you can’t beat personal service, unique products and the feeling of supporting a small business (I’m not biased or anything!)
So this Christmas, please do keep shopping small and support Colour Friday instead of Black Friday. It was launched several years ago to help celebrate the colour, creativity and community spirit that independent businesses bring to the UK plus by opting to shop at small local businesses, you can contribute towards building a more vibrant and diverse economy that better reflects the needs and values of the whole community.
