Has it really only been a fortnight?
It feels like I've been running the business for months, probably because it's taken me months to get it to this stage, but it's only been a couple of weeks. I emailed this flyer out to everyone I know. Did you get one?
It's been wonderful getting everyone's feedback as this goes a long way to improving customer service and the business as a whole. Thank you to all those people that have shopped on my site, visited the showroom, completed customer surveys and given me general feedback on Andrassy Living. I know everyone leads busy lives and your input is hugely appreciated.
If you know me or you've read 'my story', you'll know I'm very passionate about everything interiors, especially the products we sell. There's nothing more exciting than when new stock arrives and I can lovingly unpack it all (I have to stop myself from sneaking things into my own home - the temptation is incredible).
To summarise my first fortnight in business, I've played with lots of beautiful home accessories, made some really encouraging sales, wrapped plenty of gifts (we only offer this in the showroom at the moment but watch this space), had some great feedback, met lots of new people, got to grips with my balance sheet (finally) and have all my ducks in a row (today anyway). I've definitely learnt a lot about myself (probably things that I already knew to be honest but there's nothing like starting your own business to accentuate all the foibles one suffers from - will tell you all about those another time).
